A History

WASHINGTON’S LAND AND ROUND BOTTOM is a history of the community of Round Bottom, later renamed Washington Lands, in Marshall County, West Virginia, just south of Moundsville. This includes sections on the earliest native inhabitants, George Washington’s involvement, the early European settlers, a history of economic development, and the churches, schools, clubs, and organizations that make the community special to those who live there or contribute to its vitality.
