I thought I would never learn to play the piano, but here I am in my late-60s, playing the piano and loving it with the help of this book and Susan’s available guidance. I’m ready for Book Two!

The arrangements in this book are designed for immediate success at the piano keyboard for students who are placing their fingers on the keys for the first time to get a feel for the instrument.

The focus in Volume One is on getting their fingers to work independently and on learning the notes of the treble and bass staves. The focus on Volume Two is on time signatures, rhythm counting, and playing two notes simultaneously.

All hymns contained in this series are public domain and were selected because they could be played in their entirety without the need to change hand positions. The hand position used involves the thumbs of both hands positioned to cover “middle C” and each finger thereafter to cover each successive key.
