Der ausschließlich in kleinen Chargen produzierte und mindestens zweieinhalb Jahre lang gereifte Don Julio 1942 Tequila wird als Hommage an das Jahr, in dem Don Julio González seine Laufbahn als Tequila-Brenner begann, von Hand gefertigt. Seine außergewöhnliche Weichheit verdankt er dem längeren Reifungsprozess und der Tatsache, dass er aus erlesenen blauen Agaven gebrannt wird, die sechs bis zehn Jahre lang kultiviert und von Hand verlesen werden.

Mit einem Schuss Zitronen-Limetten-Soda auffüllen und einer Limettenscheibe garnieren.
